In recent times, MIND'S POWER is the most widely speculated & discussed amongst people who want to improve their life. Particularly after the publication of a series of books such as "The Secret," "As a Man Thinketh," "The Power of Your Subconscious Mind," and so forth.
Bruce Lipton, a renowned cell biologist, often compares the human mind to a computer. He explains that our subconscious mind operates like a programmed computer, running on the beliefs and behaviors we learn, especially during the first seven years of life. These early experiences form the "programs" that influence our thoughts, actions, and overall life.
Lipton emphasizes that while the conscious mind is creative and filled with wishes and desires, it only controls about 5% of our lives. The remaining 95% is governed by the subconscious mind, which operates based on the ingrained programs. This analogy highlights the importance of reprogramming negative or limiting beliefs to achieve a more fulfilling life.
The unconscious mind is a collection of states of mind and neural pathways, which represent MEMORY.
A state of mind can be defined as the sum of millions of neurological processes happening within us—the sum total of our experience at any moment in time. - Tony Robbins, Awaken the Giant Within You.
Sigmund Freud considers the subconscious mind as 'preconscios mind'. Please take a look at the slide below -
The MIND and the BRAIN are distinct yet interconnected. The MIND is an intangible entity that represents our consciousness and cognitive processes, while the BRAIN is the tangible organ that facilitates these processes. The MIND can be thought of as the energy driving our mental activities, and the BRAIN as the physical structure enabling them. The mind utilizes the brain; the brain functions according to the mind's directives. Altering the mind consequently alters the brain. The brain resides within the skull, while the mind exists within every cell of the body. MIND can be classified into CONSCIOUS, UNCONSCIOUS, SUBCONSCIOUS & SUPER-CONSCIOUS. BRAIN can be segmented into the Cerebrum, Cerebellum and Brainstem.
Research indicates that altering one's mindset, which encompasses thoughts, intentions, beliefs, or perceptions—collectively referred to as ATTITUDE—over sustained periods can induce physiological changes in the brain or other body parts. Making changes to your attitude, once deeply absorbed into the personality, can change your DNA. This can be passed on to future generations, so that your kids or grandchildren can benefit from your positive traits or characteristics. This is the POWER OF ATTITUDE & SUBCONSCIOUS MIND.
“All thoughts which, have been emotionalized (giving feeling), begin immediately to transmute themselves into their physical equivalent or counterpart.” - Napoleon Hill, Think & Grow Rich.
Types of Minds -
Conscious Mind- This is concerned about cognitive consciousness. The conscious mind is what allows you to focus, engage in intellectual tasks, and remain aware of your surroundings. This can be associated with working memory, Short-term memory or RAM of Human Brain. Please refer to the post on the improvement of Memory & Concentration in the related posts, given below.
Unconscious Mind (Physical Body)-This contains the records of all your past lives, memories, actions (Karmas), and Karmic Debts (Runas). In an unconscious state, one is completely devoid of cognitive awareness, which characterizes the state of deep sleep. This is the state of complete relaxation, with no thoughts or any emotions. This mind can be referred to as the ROM (read only memory) or the long-term memory. The subconscious mind is the hallway to accessing this mind.
Subconscious Mind - This is used as an analogue to Unconscious Mind. Some authors like Joseph Murphy in his book - The Power of Subconscious Mind, have considered Unconscious Mind as the Subconscious Mind.
Technically speaking, the Subconscious is a transitory state that can access the Unconscious & Super-Conscious Mind.
The subconscious is the state of half awake & half consciousness. This is the dream state or commonly referred to as TRANCE by hypnotherapists.
Super-Conscious Mind - The concept of a universal mind, accessible to all, is akin to the notions of infinite intelligence or consciousness. It serves as a comprehensive database encompassing everything and everyone. This is referred to as 'Aakashic Database' or 'Aakashic Records'. It's said that all the above minds are a manifestation of the Super-Conscious.
If you are capable of entering 'trance' a hypnotherapist can assist you to access the Aakashic Database.
All of your long memories reside in the unconscious mind. The unconscious is the powerhouse of data. It has the record of all the events of our life as well as of our past lives. Spiritually speaking, Unconscious is an energy layer in our soul. It has all of our karmic records. That's why when a person is hypnotized, he can enter his past lives and recall some of the events.
95% of time in a day is spent in the subconscious state. Only 5% of the time, you stay in a cognitively conscious state.
Coming to dreams, dreams indicate a specific emotional event or anything. In a way, it's our unconscious mind talking to us through the hallway of subconscious. For individuals with psychic abilities, dreams may indicate something that's of utmost importance. For ex. Edgar Kaycee, known as sleeping prophet. He used to tell all of the prophecies while he entered into a deep trance. This psychic ability is known as LUCID DREAMING. Dreams are a general manifestation of the facts, events, thoughts, people, that you've encountered during consciousness. So, we cannot think while dreaming.
The unconscious mind is the storehouse of intelligence while the super conscious is the source of infinite intelligence.
Thoughts that occur during our conscious state enter our unconscious mind through the subconscious. The conscious mind is a rational mind through which we think in a rational manner. Superconscious mind is a mind, that's common to all. It knows everything and everyone. It's a state of ultimate consciousness where divine experiences happen. There's a link between unconscious mind and super conscious mind, the link is subconscious mind. The subconscious may be viewed as a corridor linking the conscious, unconscious, and super-conscious minds.
FAITH is the head chemist of the mind. When FAITH is blended with the vibration of thought, the subconscious mind instantly picks up the vibration, translates it into its spiritual equivalent, and transmits it to Infinite Intelligence, as in the case of prayer. - Napoleon Hill, Think and Grow Rich.
Techniques to train your subconscious mind or manipulate the subjective reality-
1. Visualization technique - The very essence of visualization is captured in its name. Envision your desires, immerse yourself in the feeling of accomplishment, contemplate it, and let your actions reflect that vision.
"Imagine yourself driving that $300 K sports car, living in mansions or attending the office as the CEO or Director."
2. 'Thank you' technique - This technique involves expressing gratitude for all the blessings received and offering thanks in anticipation of future blessings.
"The person who's grateful to each & everything he's blessed with, can never be unhappy!"
You should ask, assume, and believe that it has already been blessed upon you, and then say 'Thank You.'
3. Verbal technique - It's done through repeatedly repeating the affirmations many times. Initially it has to be done consciously with continual effort, later it enters your subconscious mind, it happens without much effort.
Keep repeating this affirmation for many times -
'I am healthy and happy! ' Before going to sleep and just before waking up in the morning.
4. Gesture technique - This exercise can be performed in front of a mirror or in any private space. It involves envisioning the dream life you wish to lead and acting accordingly. It is primarily focused on the aspect of acting.
Billionaire Mentor Dan Pèna and his wife used to visit Rolls Royce showroom and million-dollar mansions as buyers, even when they didn't have anything. He recounts that precisely one year following numerous visits, they acquired a Rolls Royce and their dream mansion. His business flourished, leading him to become a multimillionaire.
"Practice being wealthy even when you have nothing, soon it gets manifested!"
“If you do not see riches in your imagination, you will never see them in your bank balance.” - Napoleon Hill, Think & Grow Rich.
5. Combination technique- As the name suggests, it combines all the previously mentioned techniques. In this, we use affirmations, combined with visualizations and feelings, supported by a strong belief that this works out to me. This is the 2nd most effective technique.
You should feel the thought, the subconscious can't make out the difference between the subjective reality (visualization) and the actual reality (objective). This weakness of the subconscious mind can be effectively used to manifest what you want. It doesn't have the reasoning ability like your conscious mind. Also, our objective reality is a reflection of our subjective reality (Subconscious mind).
Manifestation is the process where subjective reality influences your objective reality. This can be manipulated!
The subconscious is a humble servant but a terrible master. If you program it for wrong or evil that only gets manifested.
You should also remember; the subconscious mind is responsible for carrying out vital functions of our body, like respiration, digestion, and everything.
In order to manifest what you want quickly & exactly; you should be able to enter the deep state of subconscious or trance.
6. Transcendental Manifestation Technique (involves entering a meditative state):
Each thought is a form of energy which vibrates at a certain frequency and with a certain intensity. If you focus on any thought continuously for 17 seconds, with intense focus, it gets manifested.
Transcendental Manifestation Technique is based on Transcendental Meditation Technique developed by Yogi Mahesha. It's based on MANTRA. A MANTRA is a word or group of words intended to penetrate deep into the unconscious mind. A MANTRA is a form of sound energy which vibrates at a certain frequency and has cera certain tensity. Transcendental Meditation is based on repetition of one word or Mantra, continuously.

How to enter the deep state of subconscious or trance and manifest what you want?
The conscious mind is the tip of an iceberg, subconscious resides deep and the unconscious mind, even deeper. If you delve deeply, beyond the unconscious mind, you will be able to access the superconscious mind or the infinite intelligence, throught the subconscious mind.
Here are some activities that can facilitate this inner journey:
1.Meditation: Practicing meditation can take a person deep into subconscious and can reach a state of dreaming. Scientifically, it's proven now that brain patterns become slower and more stable as the chattering mind becomes near silent.
In meditation, you learn to silence rational or judgmental thoughts. You learn to isolate yourself from your thoughts and stay in the state of subconscious. This can assist you in training the subconscious mind. Training your subconscious post-meditation is advised, as it becomes more open to instructions and affirmations.
In the deep state of trance or meditation, you will learn to be a witness to everything that's happening inside and outside of you.
Researchers have identified several different types of brain waves and categorized as below:
-Delta waves (below 4 hz) occur during sleep
-Theta waves (4-7 hz) are associated with deep relaxation and visualization. This is the state of trance or deep subconscious state.
-Alpha waves (8-13 hz) occur during calmness
-Beta waves (13-38 hz) occur when we are actively thinking and alert.
It's understood that our brain is normally functioning in the ‘beta’ pattern. During meditation, our brain patterns stabilize and move from beta first to alpha and then to theta. During deep stages of meditation, the brain is observed to be projecting delta patterns. This is to understand that over a period of time, one will notice a change in the way one thinks and be able to calm the mind slow enough to tap into the subconscious naturally.
Initial stages of meditation may seem to be painful by having thoughts which are popping out of nowhere. It is important to let them flow and as one continues to practice, one will become more skilled in being an ‘observer’ with the conscious mind. This is the point where one can reap the benefits of accessing the subconscious mind and one can get great ideas and solutions to their current problems they are facing.
Our subconscious does not use words but uses our creativity to express itself. Be it art, music or simple gardening, it's advised to engage in creative pursuits to know what our subconscious might be telling us.
Generally, the first thing which one hears from within is considered to be our subconscious talking to us, but it's just that we are most of the time in a rush. Next time if we take any decisions, it's good to sit back and listen carefully to the voices from within, analyze & interpret it. It will guide us and take us where we have to go. You are understanding yourself!! Trust them! It can sometimes be the message from the super-conscious or infinite intelligence.
Thank you so much!
Hope this inspires you!
